I had some sort of fungus in my throat when I was younger... I have some questions (Sorry if TMI)?

I remember when i was 13-14 I got sick... I dont remember the symptoms but I know it was enough for my mother to drive me all the way back to our home city to see my real family doctor. I remember them giving me some sort of pills. I never asked questions and if I did I cant remember.. thats why I need your help! I
