i get them less than 2weeks(12days) and i am happy, haha. well i am thinking pink and teal, purple and green, or pink and green, cant decide...ahahahahaha!!! well um and i would like 2 know what happens from b egging 2 end, seating u down 2 when u get up! thnxs
they might put a device in your mouth to keep it open so they can work easily and something on your tongue to hold it in place. then they like clean off your teeth and dry them (all with the normal dental tools) then they add the adhesive and place the brackits on each tooth. then the orthodontoist usual comes to inspect the work. then the tech will use a device to dry the adhesive it will make a little beeping sound as it moves from each tooth drying the brackets in place. then the wire is placed and then rubber bands are put on and your done. mine took about 30 mins total
you will have a bad taste in your mouth so go rinse with mouthwash but wait a few hours before brushing.
before you leave for your appt. brush and floss very very good!
also eat a good meal and if your able take 2-3 regular strength ibuprphen it helps alleviate the discomfort.
you will feel weird and your lips will feel weird but you will get use to it and the discomfort may last one day or a few days but it will go away and you will feel fine.. until you have to get them tightened again, then you may feel some acheness again on that day and thats it..
good luck and i always get pearl color bc it blends in with my teeth and makes it less noticable, clear bands tend to look dingy..
i am getting braces on the 20th and i was thinking about an aqua color. Well all i know is that it is a very long process taking about 1-2 hours. Oh also bring chap-stick. Your mouth will get really dry. My friend got braces and her lips bled a little. Also take like and advil to help pain before and after you get them. Good luck
