Prom is coming up?? Could use some advice?
Yo!
Prom is coming up and i want to get into some descent shape. I want to work on my belly arms and legs but I don't have money do go to the gym. Anyone have any suggestions to help lose some weight one those parts and tone up a bit. Like how much exercise a day and what exercise?Another thing what kind of diet should i try? Thanks for any answers! =D
Adry is almost totally on the ball - add about 500+ calories to it though if you are working out too - the suggested caloric intake for a female in your age group is actually up to and sometimes above 2000 calories a day. Muscle weighs more than fat so while you tone up trust your eyes and not your scale.
If you have some small free weights you can do plenty - free weights can be specially made or just a couple of really heavy cans or jars. You can even exercise with grocery bags - grab a cloth bag with a short handle. Fill it to a comfortable weight and hold it over your head with both hands. Gently lower the bag with both arms - the bag should be behind you: watch your head! Just as gently, return the bag to it's high position. Do this for however many reps/sets as you are comfortable doing. This tones your triceps really well - the 'flab' on the back of your upper arm ;)
You can't lose fat in specific areas - we lose - and gain - weight from the top down. Every time. Cut out pre-packaged food, cook from fresh or go to a restaurant that serves freshly cooked food. This means no "fast food"! A little real sugar won't hurt you unless you're diabetic - especially if it's fruit sugar! Mmmmm, blueberries and strawberries! Baby carrots! Yummers!
Standard rules apply: get your sleep; drink plenty of water; eat lots of fibre and antioxidants and vary your physical activities. If you own a bicycle learn to love it. Ditto for rollerblades, roller skates (quad-skates), ice skating and swimming. Ever since I found out what muscles you need for quad-skating I am totally sold on their value as a bum-raiser and leg-tightener
Targetted weight loss is quite tough, some peeple would say impossible, however the sole diet that clearly delivered for me was green tea, it can be checked out in the resource box below, they have a handful of free trials left, it was featured in Reader's Digest and CNN. I melted away twenty five pounds, it clearly does produce results!
All the medics and food experts say targeted weight loss is unlikely, especially in the waist and belly areas, but I achieved it with acai berry. I understand they say that pills will not work, but they definitely worked for me, and they have been featured on the Rachael Ray Show too. There is a free trial going on right now at http://72ba.com , try it, how worse could it make things?
Go on walks, cut junk food, drink water.
For a "diet" just eat 5 healthy meals day adding up to about 1200-1500 calories a day, that's how i've lost 10 lbs since January. Try to eat like 250-300 calories every 2 and a half hours or 3 meals of 350 calories and 2 snacks of 150 calories (all these must come from healthy food). Eat fresh fruits and veggies, low fat milk, lean meats, and whole grains. It's really simple once u get used to it. To tone up i would suggest jogging 30mins a day and do some light weight lifting, buy yourself some 2lb weights and look up some exercises online. Hope this helps!
